Dell has introduced its first ever multitouch laptop Studio 17 Touch. Earlier, Dell made multitouch tablets only. This 17.3-inch HD+ LED Display supports multitouch gestures on the screen. Joining Dell's Studio series lineup, Studio 17 can be configured with up to Intel Core i7 720QM or 820QM processor. Available for sale on Dell website starting today, the price of this multitouch laptop starts at $880 (Rs. 43,000 approx.).
Sporting 17.3-inch HD LED display, the Dell Studio 17 supports 1600x900 pixel resolution and of course multitouch gestures. Playing HD content would be smooth on this HD supporting screen and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 (512MB) to offer graphics horsepower. This powerhouse supports Intel processors right from dual Pentium to recent Core i7. Packed with 4GB DDR3 RAM, Dell offers storage option of up to dual 500GB HDDs.
This Studio 17 laptop can also be configured with external full HD display using HDMI out or DisplayPort. For connectivity, Studio 17 offers Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, FireWire, VGA, one USB/eSATA and two USB ports. The laptop comes with Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) pre-installed.
Once you keep adding/upgrading components into this powerhouse, the price inflates beyond $3000 (Rs. 144,000 approx.). No official word on world-wide availability yet.
