Dell launch new multi-touch computers: Inspiron One 19 All-in-One and Studio 17 laptop

Dell are preparing to launch two new multi-touch PCs. The Inspiron One 19 and Studio 17 laptop are the PC manufacturer's first computers using four-touch multi-touch hardware.

Both are able to handle multiple simultaneous touches and gestures, such as pinch, drag, flick and rotate. Dell hope that these new control methods will make PC use more intuitive and welcoming for the novice user.
Dell's Inspiron One 19 All-in-One packs in a lot of features on top of it's cool touch-screen commands. Wi-Fi, Webcam, disk storage, DVD drive, and power adapter are all built into the 19 inch High-Definition widescreen display.
The Studio 17 laptop is similarly impressive. Featuring a 17.3 inch HD touchscreen, it's also packing in JBL branded audio hardware, which Dell hopes will make it a versatile multimedia unit.
"Touchscreen makes computing easy and fun for all ages. Whether it's a space saving machine, or an entertainment laptop, Dell now has options to allow for a great touchscreen experience," said David Clifton, Director of Consumer Marketing, Dell Europe. "And both products perform as well as being stylish, so they can handle the common tasks we all use at home every day."
The Dell Inspiron One 19 is available now directly from Dell, priced at £499. The Studio 17 will be released later this month, with pricing and availability to be confirmed.
